The City of Silsbee benefits from the generosity of Texas Fireworks Company as the Gardner family donates approximately $15,000 worth of fireworks for the Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department to help onlookers celebrate New Year. This tradition has been running strong for over 20 years, and each year the show increases in brilliance and popularity.
Silsbee Little Theatre Dinner Theatre
The months of March and April bring the very popular annual dinner theatre hosted by the Silsbee Little Theatre. The theatre’s strong reputation draws attendees from all over the region and plays to a sold out crowd every year. Tickets go fast! Check out their Facebook Page for more information at
Silsbee Fourth of July Fireworks Show
The Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department is at it again! The team will be hosting the Annual Silsbee Fourth of July fireworks celebration! It is held the Saturday before July 4th at the Silsbee High School. Food, vendors, and family fun!
Village Creek Classic Canoe and Kayak Race
This event highlights Village Creek as Silsbee’s greatest recreational asset while engaging the area’s most elite and adventurist athletes in Southeast Texas. This event promotes the sustainable use of Village Creek as a place to congregate, while creating a friendly competitive and playful event connecting the nature lover and outdoor activist. Annual Golf Tournament
This event has been revived and is being hosted by Silsbee Chamber of Commerce. The event will be held at Silsbee Country Club in October for more information contact:
October of each year finds vintage, antique, and sports cars flocking to Silsbee for a “Show and Shine,” parade, drag races, and lots of family fun. Visit their website for more information at
Since 1994, the students of Silsbee High School have honored local veterans in the high school performing arts center EVERY VETERAN'S DAY. The program is centered around a theme each year and includes a guest speaker, a tribute to the veterans, posting of colors, a bagpipe performance, and a Wall of Honor as a tribute to deceased veterans. A reception honoring the Veterans is held in the high school cafeteria immediately following the program. Approximately 250 people attend this event annually.
Silsbee Pines Festival
The Pines Festival is returning in November of 2019 which brings Silsbee out to celebrate our beautiful landscape of the piney woods and to raise money to restore our Pines Theatre back and the downtown area. The festival goes from Thursday to Sunday, this event has something for everyone: Craft and Food booths, live performances, carnival, contests, and a whole lot more.

Christmas in the Big Thicket
The first Saturday in December brings Silsbee out to celebrate the holiday season in downtown. Spanning three blocks, this event has something for everyone: Craft and Food booths, live performances, pups on parade, children’s area, Make-And-Take-It at the Ice House Museum, Santa Claus photos, weiner dog races, and a one mile run.
Christmas Lighted Parade (Themed)
This event follows Christmas in the Big Thicket. Each year The Annual themed Lighted parade brings out everyone from all ages. The parade is sponsored by the Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department and begins @ 6 pm . The parade starts at Hwy 418 and goes down Main (5th street) .
